The Azoriani Boutique, Ascend Hotel Collection - Ponta Delgada (Sao Miguel)

Amazing hotel with amenities like free wi-fi in rooms, 24-hour reception, and laundry service. I remember the staff helping me find my forgotten earphones during my first stay, a good touch. I'm coming back for Christmas!

Loved the place, had a comfortable stay for 4 nights. The double room with internet had basic facilities you need.

The location was excellent - a few steps away from everywhere we wanted to go. Distance to the airport was just 5 km. We have stayed in twin room for 2 nights, it was complete with a good bed, a nice bath, for example.

During my 7-night stay, the breakfast quickly became monotonous, with limited options offered each morning. The dining area had a slow service, and the staff seemed unmotivated, which did not enhance the experience. The bed was narrower than expected in a supposed double room, causing discomfort throughout my stay.

Perfect location for a city hotel. Breakfast sufficiently simple. Rooms good, big beds, cleanliness top.

The best and worst parts

The location was perfect, an easy stroll to various attractions. Free parking is a definite bonus, even if it's limited. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately, the breakfast offerings lacked variety, becoming monotonous during my three-night stay. There were also noticeable noise issues between rooms, which disrupted my peaceful nights.

The hotel is very centrally located. After only a few minutes on foot you are at the harbour and at numerous restaurants

The mattresses are unfortunately very hard. Only if you ask, the staff will tell you when and where breakfast is served. The breakfast buffet is kept rather small with toast, packed jams and yoghurts, two sausages and a cheese and instant egg dish. Moreover, one is not greeted when entering or leaving the hotel. If you put your mind to it, this is the wrong hotel ;)

I had such a great time here, as I could easily walk to the Military Museum of the Azores in less than 15 minutes and enjoyed the nearby fine Jardins de Sant'Ana.

Staff was very friendly, good central location, nice breakfast in the morning.
